I started making art and painting as a child. I began sculpting in sand on the beaches in South Florida where I was born, taking second place award in the Annual Sandcastle contest at eight years old and clay was my favorite medium after that. My love of colors as well as the fluid movement that watercolor achieves will always bring me back to that technique. I studied art and pottery under Jean Hahn in Fort Lauderdale, also taking classes at Broward College and Florida International University.
A love of nature and much needed change brought me to the Roanoke area in 2011 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Currently my pottery is featured at the Roanoke County’s Explore Park Artisan Gift Shop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, the National Bridge State Park’s Artisan Gift Shop in Rockbridge County and Lackey Gallery in Daleville, Virginia.
I’ve taught classes/workshops at Earthworks Pottery Studio, 228 S. Pollard St. in Vinton and Special Needs classes for Pottery at the Roanoke Country Park’s and Recreation, Brambleton Center.
